Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 2026
Tethyr ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, platform, and applications (collectively, the "Services"). By using our Services, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Information: We collect your name, email address, phone number, and organization details when you create an account.
- Financial Data: Transactions are routed through our payment processor partners (e.g., Stripe). Tethyr does not permanently store full credit card numbers or raw routing data on our local databases. We store transaction IDs, settlement amounts, and payout destinations necessary for reconciliation.
- Participant Data: Individuals acting as fundraising participants provide names and emails to generate unique links. This data is scoped exclusively to the relevant active campaign.
- Automated Telemetry: We collect IP addresses, browser types, interaction metadata, and access times to monitor platform health, system security, and user experience.
2. How We Use Your Information
Data collected by Tethyr is used exclusively to:
- Facilitate, process, and reconcile digital retail fundraising transactions.
- Authenticate users and secure their portal dashboards.
- Generate tracking spreadsheets, production manifests, and payout ledgers for authorized Merchants and Organizations.
- Communicate important service updates, technical alerts, or customer support responses.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We share data strictly with:
- Partner Organizations: Donor names and purchase details are shared with the specific Merchant fulfilling the order and the Organization hosting the drive.
- Service Providers: We share essential processing data with critical infrastructure providers like cloud hosts (e.g., AWS, Supabase), payment gateways (e.g., Stripe), and email delivery services to operate the platform.
- Legal Obligations: We may disclose information if legally required to do so by valid subpoenas, court orders, or state law enforcement requests.
4. Security of Your Information
Tethyr utilizes industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security protocols to protect your personal information. Database access requires secure, time-sensitive authentication, and all active transaction routes are encrypted via SSL/TLS. While we strive to protect your data using commercially acceptable means, no method of digital transmission or server storage is 100% physically secure.
5. Children's Privacy
Our platform is not intrinsically designed for direct, unsupervised use by children under 13. If you are under 13, you must use Tethyr under the supervision of a parent, legal guardian, or registered school administrator. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personally identifying data from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will securely delete that data.
If you have questions about this policy or wish to request data deletion, contact tethyroutreach@gmail.com.
